Based in Birmingham (UK), we are a charitable organisation, providing a wide range of activities for adults (18+) who enjoy playing and learning music whilst meeting others from their local communities.
With groups and events held across the city, we provide opportunities to those who feel that they might not fit into traditional musical set ups. By designing all our groups to incorporate all levels of musicianship we never exclude via auditions or set entry criteria.
Though music is integral to our work, we believe that it is secondary to the sense of community that music can create. Music binds people through common purposes and goals, no matter their background or situations. This is the heart of everything we do and carry this in to all our offerings.

Join us on the 13th of July for an unforgettable afternoon as the Misfits Music Institute proudly presents "Music of Journeys".
As is traditional for our summer concert, we'll be bringing together all of our groups, showing their individual efforts as well as an exciting performance where all groups play one piece together, as a huge group!
